Our Roadmap to Success is a flexible and comprehensive pathway designed to support individuals in achieving their professional goals, regardless of their area of expertise. By progressing through Level 7 qualifications—Award, Certificate, and Diploma—you can gain advanced skills tailored to your career stage, culminating in the option to pursue a Master’s degree with our partner universities. How CMI Level 7 Qualifications Work

A CMI Level 7 qualification is a postgraduate-level achievement empowering learners to make a more meaningful impact within their organisations progressing through three levels of qualification: Award, Certificate & Diploma. The Award is one unit (7+ credits), the Certificate is two units (14+ credits) and the Diploma is four or more units (37+ credits). Each unit has specific learning modules that culminate in an assessment to achieve your qualification. 

Towercourt Training offers a number of CMI Level 7 Qualifications but our key Qualification is our CMI Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership Practice which learners can achieve the Award, Certificate, Diploma and now an MBA with our partners at Leeds Beckett University.

Suited for managers operating at a strategic level in the workplace, these range of units help provide senior managers with the opportunity to develop their strategic management skills and apply these procedures and practices to managing at a strategic level in the workplace. 

For this Roadmap, you can choose from the following units:

  • Unit 701 – Strategic Leadership (11 credits)​
  • Unit 702 – Leading and Developing people to optimise performance (10 credits)​
  • Unit 703 – Collaboration and Partnerships (7 credits)​
  • Unit 704 – Developing Organisational Strategy (9 credits)​
  • Unit 705 – Leading Strategic Change (8 credits)​
  • Unit 706 – Financial for Strategic Leaders (9 credits)​
  • Unit 710 – Marketing strategy (8 credits)​
  • Unit 712 – Strategic management project (10 credits)​
  • Unit 714 – Personal and Professional Development for Strategic leaders (9 credits)​
  • Unit 715 – Strategic Approaches to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (8 credits)​
  • Unit 716 – Strategic Approaches to Mental Health and Wellbeing (7 credits)

Studying in this format is a cost-effective way to complete a Level 7 qualification which is equivalent to studying at post-graduate level. Each unit can take between 1-3 months depending on the content of the unit.

CMI Level 7 Leadership & Management Roadmap

To further illustrate the journey you can take through your Leadership & Management learning journey, let’s outline the steps you can take from a CMI Level 7 Award to a Masters Degree.

Step 1: CMI Level 7 Award

The first step on your learning journey is choosing your first unit that closely align with your professional goals such as the popular, Unit 714 – Personal and Professional Development for Strategic leaders (9 credits)​.

After completing the necessary guided learning and understanding the course materials, you will then go through the assessment process, successfully achieving your CMI Level 7 Award after around 3 months. 

Step 2: CMI Level 7 Certificate

After a positive response in your organisation, you decide to take your learning even further and register for your next unit and therefore your CMI Level 7 Certificate,  Unit 705 – Leading Strategic Change (8 credits).

After understanding the course material, finishing the learning, completing the assessment you have successfully achieved your CMI Level 7 Certificate around 6 months after you started.

Step 3: CMI Level 7 Diploma

To then progress to a Diploma qualification, you’ll select at least two more units to meet the 37-credit requirement for the Diploma, such as Unit 712 – Strategic Management Project (10 credits) and Unit 702 – Leading and Developing People to Optimise Performance (10 credits).

By engaging with the comprehensive learning and in-depth assessments for these two units over the next 2 to 6 months, you’ll successfully achieve the prestigious CMI Level 7 Diploma.

Step 4: Masters Degree

Through our partnership with Leeds Beckett University we’re excited to offer our learners the option to fast-track your CMI Level 7 Diploma into a Master’s degree.

By completing a dissertation, typically within 9 to 12 months, you’ll gain an internationally recognised postgraduate qualification, demonstrating your expertise at the highest level and opening doors to new professional opportunities.
